Originally Posted on The Inner Sanctum  Around the States: April 21 TSL Clarence Kangaroos vs North Launceston Bombers –  Round 3 On Saturday afternoon Clarence hosted North Launceston for their first home game at Blundstone Arena since 2019. A tightly fought game, both teams were evenly matched in the first quarter. Clarence were unable to register any score in the second quarter while North Launceston star  Bradley Cox-Goodyer  was the only player kicking goals, bagging three total on the day. Clarence’s  Jacob Steele  put in an early submission for mark of the year with a huge hanger over North Launceston’s  Thomas Bennet. Clarence dominated the third quarter, booting seven goals and leading by 25 points into three quarter time. Van Gisbergen's challengers emerge in Tasmania

Supercar drivers battle at Symmons Plains. Photo: supercars.com Shane Van Gisbergen has now joined the ranks of legends including Mark Skaife and Allan Moffat with six consecutive race victories. His streak was not long for this earth, his fellow drivers quickly managing to break it. Teammates Jamie Whincup and Chaz Mostert took home victories in race seven and eight respectively. We take you through the highlights of the weekend’s action in Tasmania. Race 1 It was an early statement from SVG as he qualified on pole by over three tenths, an impressive margin considering all the practice running was looking incredibly tight. Cam Waters and Jamie Whincup were able to get the jump on Van Gisbergen off the line. The championship leader was able to claim second off his teammate (Whincup) on lap two and retook the lead nine laps later. It was a Red-Bull one-two punch as Whincup finished second, while Anton De Pasquale grabbed Dick Johnson Racing’s second podium of 2021, finsihing in third. V...

  Source: Hyperdrive Kart Racing Facebook Last Wednesday night it was finally time for our second Champion League Grand Finale, and what a night it was. The six best drivers from our two-league nights battled it out for the chance to take home both the winner’s trophy and a year’s worth of free racing at Hyperdrive.   This seasons Grand Finale was an evolution of the first. The added factor of a pitstop both during qualifying and the race was sure to spice things up. During the 20-lap qualifying session all drivers had to set a time in both Sodi and Shifter Karts. Their best lap ties from each Karts were then added together to determine the starting grid for the 60-lap endurance race. In the race, all drivers started in Sodi Karts and had to complete a minimum of 10 laps before making a pitstop and switching over to Shifters.
